My top Binge worthy shows on Netflix

Hello beautiful! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. It means the world to me! If you are new here, my name is Victoria and I help women create the life of their dreams. But today, I’m just here to talk about what I like to watch on TV.

Binge days are good for the soul. I love lighting a candle, getting comfy, and watching a good show on TV. With so many streaming platforms available, the options are endless and I love it. Over the years I’ve watched many shows and binged tons of TV series, but there are a few that really stood out. If you need some ideas for what to watch next, I’ve got you covered.

The Haunting of Hill House *my favorite show of all time* – Netflix

Where do I start with this show? The Haunting of Hill house is the best show I’ve seen in my whole life. I don’t want to give too much of it away but it is considered horror I guess, but it is really a ghost story. A beautiful, creepy ghost story that centers around a family who purchases a home to restore and flip. Upon moving in, strange things happen in the home, and as the story unfolds we find out why. It is absolutely incredible. Everyone involved with this show should be very proud of themselves. Truly a masterpiece.

Becoming You – Apple TV+

What else can I say except I love this show SO much! I love a good documentary and this one is absolutely stunning. Becoming you follows (I think) 100 children around the world. for the first 5 years of their life. The episodes break down how kids learn, form relationships, walk, etc. There are 6 episodes and I love them all. It’s perfect for me because I love seeing how other people live around the world.

Little Fires Everywhere – Hulu

Okay um…I don’t really even know where to start with this show. Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington deliver one heck of a drama series. All I can say is that if I could somehow have my memory of this show wiped so I could watch it again, I would. This is hands down the best show I’ve seen in such a long time. I was on the edge of my seat with every episode. Not only is the intro absolutely stunning, the first episode shows a house burning down and you have to watch the series to figure out who did it. But it’s so much deeper than just the house. It’s a masterpiece and I loved it.

Outer Banks – Netflix

If I could describe this show in one word I would say fun. My husband and I watched this show during the great lockdown of 2020 and we were hooked from episode 1. It is about a group of teenagers that are on an unexpected treasure hunt in Outer Banks, NC. It was very, very good. I highly recommend if you are looking for something fun to watch. Word on the street is that season 2 is already in the works.

How to get away with murder – Netflix

What’s crazy is that this gif has made it’s rounds on the internet but I never knew what it was from. Viola Davis plays a Law Professor and her students find themselves in some serious trouble. She protects them but that only leads them all to even more trouble. This is a very fast paced show and you can be a lot to take in at times but it’s definitely a must watch. There are like, 6 seasons so that will keep you occupied for a while.

The Mandalorian – Disney+

We’ve all seen baby Yoda at this point, the memes have taken the internet by storm. But if you haven’t watched The Mandalorian, you totally should. As someone who respectfully isn’t a fan of Star Wars, I still really loved this show. You can watch it even if you’ve never seen a single Star Wars movie. Plus, baby Yoda is super cute in action.

Riverdale – Netflix

Ok I am going to be completely honest here. Riverdale has so much potential, but I feel like the writers just…don’t know what they are doing. It is set in a town called Riverdale and a bunch of high school friends face a series of hardships. I love the cast, and the fashion of the show. I also love that the show features a mix of new and old technology. There are macbooks but also vintage phones. Season 1 was great, season 2 was okay, season 3 wasn’t great but I still love the show because of the vibe.

Big Little Lies – Hulu

Apparently I’m super late to this party-but Kim Kardashian tweeted about Big Little Lies the other day so I figured I would give it a watch. It was really good and I was definitely intrigued throughout the whole first season. It’s about a bunch of families whose children all go to the same school and there is drama within the school and within the families personal lives. It’s great. I just started season 2.

Insatiable – Netflix

I absolutely loved this show. If you are a fan of Gossip Girl and other girly shows, you will like this one. It’s about a fat girl who gets punched in the face, gets skinny and basically has a whole new life. There’s drama, a dash of humor, and it’s just really fun to watch. There are 2 seasons and I loved them both. I’m really hoping there will be a season 3.

Desperate Housewives – Hulu

This is my favorite show ever. I can’t go more than 10 months without watching Desperate Housewives. It follows housewives who live in the suburbs of Fairview and they all have struggles they have to overcome. From infidelity to murder, it’s quite the ride. I know this show has been around for a long time but I only recently watched it for the first time.

Defending Jacob – Apple TV+

Chris Evans plays a father who is dealing with the extreme consequences of his 14 year old son, Jacob, being accused of murder. This drama series was fun to watch and not predictable to me. I enjoyed it and I love that there will not be a second season. (as far as I know) the first season had an appropriate ending.

The Flight Attendant – HBO max

First of all, I have to say that I had trouble finding this show. I heard a lot about it and I have HBO max through Amazon. Every time I would search for the show I couldn’t find it. Turns out I had to actually download the full HBO max app onto my tv so I could access it.

I enjoyed this show a lot. It’s about a flight Attendant who also struggles with alcoholism. She meets a man on a flight to Bangkok and ends up spending the night with him. The next morning she wakes up to find he was brutally murdered in the bed right next to her. Knowing she will be suspect number one, she has to make it back to the US and figure out who the killer is.
