Best Christmas Movies
TOP 10 BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES
December is such a fun month for my family. I plan awesome activities for my kids, our Elf on the Shelf comes to visit, our house is super cozy thanks to all of our Christmas decorations, and we spend a lot of time watching Christmas movies together.
I remember watching Christmas movies with my family when I was a kid and now I get to do it with my kids. I always remember watching Rudolph the red nose reindeer, and Charlie Brown Christmas. But there several movies that I still love watching as an adult. I’ve picked these up to add to my movie collection at home and I’ve recently added a few this year since we don’t have cable anymore because we are cutting our yearly expenses.
These are my favorite Christmas movies, period. Some are family friendly, and a couple are not. I just wanted to put them all here in one post for you. Which one is your favorite? Let me know!
This movie came out a couple years ago and is not family friendly. It is super raunchy, but I love the cast and I thought it was funny in an out of control way. This is one that my husband and I will watch together when the girls go to bed.
A Christmas Story
There’s a reason why this movie is aired for 24 hours straight on Christmas day. It’s am absolute Christmas Classic and one that I’ve been watching probably my entire life. My kids saw it for the first time last year and they liked it a lot. I just picked it up the other day and I will have the Elf on the Shelf bring it to them the first week of December so we can watch it all month.
Another classic. This movie is legendary. I loved everything about it as a kid. We bought this a couple years ago and watch it all year around. It’s best during the holidays though. It just gives off major Christmas vibes.
It’s not too often that I am a fan of sequels, but this one was just as good as Home Alone. It brought me lots of laughs as a kid and I really enjoy watching this movie with my family.
Perhaps the only Arnold Schwarzenegger movie that I like, this movie was one of the most watched Christmas movie in my house. So freaking good! It follows a man who is looking for a sold out action figure for his son for Christmas. He gets into a lot of trouble trying to get this toy. Very good movie! I picked this up at Michael’s craft store actually. I will always love this movie
I haven’t seen this movie in years but I just decided I’m going to get it this year. I have very little memory of this movie except that I loved watching it as a kid. Tim Allen was a huge part of my childhood and so I can’t wait to introduce this movie to my kids this season
The nutcracker and the four realms
OHMYGOODNESS! So I was at Hotel Transylvania 3 movie when I first saw the trailer for the Nutcracker and the Four Realms and I immediately decided that I had to go see this movie. It looked so dreamy and perfect for the Christmas season. I took the girls the other day and it was beyond incredible! I highly recommend you do a night at the theater this season and go see it! So awesome!
The nostalgia is real people. Charlie Brown was HUGE part of my Childhood. I loved the show, and I always watched the Great Pumpkin, but it has been years since I’ve seen a Charlie Brown Christmas. I hope my kids like it! I’m having the Elf on the Shelf deliver this movie also.
Omg this movie is so perfect for a Christmas girls night. I’ll have to admit, the first Bad Moms was funnier, but Bad moms Christmas is a great Christmas movie that will make you laugh your ass off. I loved it and will probably pick it up this year!
It’s a wonderful life
This movie is one of my favorites because it used to be my mom’s favorite Christmas movie when I was a kid and we used to watch it all the time. The early versions were still in black and white. It’s an old movie about a man who is shown what life would be like without him. I’ve since bought the remastered version in color and my kids love it too!
What are your favorite Christmas Movies? Are there any that I forgot to mention? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
