With only 12 days left until fall, you better believe that I am beyond ready to spend the evenings in my jammies, with a fall candle burning, watching Netflix. I figured I would do a post about my absolute favorite shows to binge watch, in case you need a new series to get into. Let’s get into it
The show that had me completely SHOOK…YOU
Holy cow! Where do I even start with this show! So one night I saw the previews for this new show about a man who is stalking a woman in New York City. I watched the first episode and I seriously couldn’t stop. The show was so good that my husband and I ended up staying up until 3am watching and had to force ourselves to go to sleep. The show has so much suspense and is super unpredictable. I was constantly wondering what was going to happen next. I highly recommend!
My number one show is always going to be Desperate Housewives
Desperate housewives is somewhat older and I don’t think it is on Netflix anymore, but this is without a doubt my favorite series of all time. It follows the lives of suburban housewives living on wisteria lane after one of the housewives committed suicide. There is so much to love about this show, and the first time I ever saw it was on Netflix many years ago. I recently re-watched it on this awesome website called DailyMotion. If I ever come across the DVD set, I would purchase it immediately! It’s so juicy and has an awesome cast!
I am ashamed to admit that I only recently discovered this show! It should still be on Netflix, I just finished it a couple months ago. Gossip Girl is the story of wealthy teenagers living on the upper east side of New York. They are all being written about on an anonymous website called Gossip Girl! There is a lot of love, sex, parties, and TONS of drama. I started watching it and literally could not stop.
Okay if you haven’t watched Stranger Things then honestly what are you doing with your life?? I started watching a year late after attempting to watch twice but not being able to get into the show. Finally the third time I actually sat down and gave it my full attention and I was HOOKED ever since. Stranger Things is set in the 1980’s and follows a group of young kids who’s friend mysteriously disappears. His mother has a gut feeling that he is still alive. Beware of this show though, season 1 is only 8 episodes long. My husband and I were extremely disappointed when it was over so quickly! Luckily season 2 came shortly thereafter but now I have no idea when season 3 is coming! I can’t wait! The kids are super talented actors, all of the cast is awesome really. This is a must watch for sure especially around Halloween time.
Another show perfect for Halloween, Charmed is about three sisters who recently discovered that they are the worlds most powerful witches. Soon after their discovery they are plagued by demons and warlocks that they have to vanquish with their new found powers. This show is old and was made I think In the late 90’s. The fashion is so nostalgic. Charmed is currently on Netflix.
Orange Is The New Black
This is the most raw show I have ever seen. It is about a young woman who goes to jail for being involved in a drug deal. Her jail adventures are nothing short of completely over the top. The storyline is awesome, and once you start watching, you simply can’t stop!
I am in the middle of this show now. I first heard about it because it cause quite a bit of controversy when the previous first arrived on the scene. People were accusing the show of encouraging fat shaming or something ridiculous like that. I don’t see any of that in the show and so far I’m loving it! It’s about a high school senior who is bullied for being the far girl. One day she gets injured and her jaw had to be wired shut. She was on an all liquid diet, lost tons of weight and turned into a total bombshell. We follow her on the road to revenge against all of her haters.
Ok I don’t know what took me so long to watch Riverdale in the first place, but now that I actually sat down and watched the first couple of episodes I’m hooked.
The writing gets a little sloppy in season 3 but I mostly watch for the fashion. I love the looks that Veronica and Cheryl are serving during the whole entire season. In fact, I’m pretty much using this as the inspiration for my Capsule Wardobe.
I wish I had more shows to share with you, but these are my absolute favorites! what are yours?
