Things under a microscope: Using microscope for the first time.

Our first time using a microscope!

Can you guess what this is? I’ll tell you in a sec.

If you read my updated home school routine, you probably saw that I got my kids a microscope for this school year. We had so much fun using it that I had to write a post about it! If you have been wanting to order a microscope but haven’t yet, you should definitely do it! It’s only been a couple of hours and I am completely obsessed! Here’s all the details!

So the microscope we ordered is from amazon, you can find it here.
We ordered the Solomark Student microscope with the smartphone adapter. It is super easy to set up, its great quality (I suppose, I mean I haven’t used any other microscopes before). But for my kids and I to use for school, this is just perfect.

I’m so glad that we ordered the one with the cell phone adapter. It is so helpful because we can all see the specimen at once, rather than everyone taking turns to look through the lens. It also allows me to snap a photo of whatever we are looking at and share with my phone, instead of having to hook up to a computer. Could things be any simpler?!

We looked at tons of stuff today! Dirt, Grass, Hair, Dust, a fruit fly, part of a strawberry, lavender, makeup, food, etc. It was so much fun! Here are my favorite pics from our fun today!

What should we look at? Let me know in the comments!

What an awesome microscope! I had no idea they made them with smart phone adapters. I may need to look into getting one just for fun!
