Prepping for my Wedding!

How we are prepping for the wedding!

My wedding is just 3 weeks away! It's time to start getting ready! I am SO excited you guys have no idea.
If you have missed my previous posts about my wedding, I am having a small intimate vow renewal ceremony at Boldt Castle in NY. There won't be any guests, just our family. I am very happy about this and I absolutely can not wait for the trip.
I will be doing my own hair and makeup, as well as photography. This will be a bit of a challenge for me because I have never done my own photos for such a big event in my life.I am hoping that everything goes extremely well-I'm sure it will.
My girls and I will be doing things here and there to prep for the wedding so I figured I would share them with you.

Hair trims
With 3 weeks to go, it's time to get our hair touched up so we don't have any dead ends at the wedding. We are all just going for a trim and nothing more.

Makeup Shopping
I have been sampling makeup here and there and now it's finally time to pick up the final makeup products that I need. I will definitely be purchasing the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. I tried it and it is a world of difference from my drugstore products. Don't get me wrong, I love my drugstore makeup. But really I was blown away by this foundation.

Weekly Facials and hair deep conditioning
Obviously I want my skin to be flawless on my wedding day, so I will be using masks and lots of moisturizer. I will also be using a derma roller on my face. This will make my skin look healthier and more glowy.

Get my teeth cleaned
My 6 month cleaning is due anyway and the timing couldn't be more perfect. I am obsessed with clean teeth so I'm happy I'll have them done right before the wedding.

Eyebrows
OMG You guys. I have not had my brows threaded for the ENTIRE SUMMER. YES! 3 solid months of tree monster eyebrows. I look absolutely ridiculous, but my brows had become too thin after monthly threading and I wanted them to grow back so they would look full again. I cant wait to have them threaded though. I will look like a totally different person!

Nails
The week of my wedding I will go in for a manicure. Nothing too fancy just the classic french tip. I haven't had my nails done since the spring time so this is exciting. I will also paint my girls nails probably the day before we leave for our trip.

Bouquet essentials
I'll be making my own bouquet, so I will have to grab some floral tape and some ribbon to wrap around it. I will also be going out looking for the best and prettiest roses around. I will put the bouquet together the night before the wedding so that it stays fresh. Hopefully it looks gorgeous on my wedding day.

Photography prep
Since we are doing our own photos, and my 9 year old daughter will be helping us, I have to put together a shot list. I've looked at pretty much every website, blog, and social site with pictures of the castle so that I can get ideas of where I want to take photos and what kind of shots that I want. I will have to go over them with Alexa (who will be taking the photos of me and Tyler) and we will also have to make sure we know how to use the remote and tripod we are bringing along. How hard could it be? Tyler really gets impatient when it comes to photos and so I will have to make this process quick and painless for all of us. The photos are the absolute most important part of this entire trip. If anything were to happen with them, I would lose my mind.

Packing list
I know we still have 3 weeks, but I can not afford to forget anything. I won't have time to run to the store and get the things that I forgot, so I'm planning on not forgetting anything. Every time I think of something I jot it down. Hopefully by the time we have to start packing I will be all set.

Adding Sparkle to my dress!
When I was placing the order for my dress, I asked them if they could add crystals to it. The price they quoted me was much too high, I knew I could do it myself. When I finally received it and tried it on, I fell in love with it and I did't think that I would even want or need to add crystals. However, I was in a hurry the first time I tried it on. I had to go to work and I didn't really have time to think much about it. After trying it on again the other day, I realized that it definitely needed some sparkle. I really love diamonds, crystals, glitter, anything that sparkles. So if I didn't add any sparkle to my dress I think I would have regretted it later. Luckily, I was able to grab swarovski crystals at the craft store, so I added a couple hundred of them to my dress and you guys I am SO happy! It really gives life to the dress and makes me so incredibly happy! I can't wait for you all to see it!

Am I forgetting anything? I've never done a wedding ceremony before, so let me know in the comments!
