Doing my own Wedding makeup. The Products I am using on my big day!

Doing my own wedding makeup. The high end makeup products I'm using on my special day.

Hello lovelies!

So this week I’m going to be talking about the makeup I will be using for my wedding day. As you might know, I am having very private elopement type vow renewal ceremony in August this year.

I am a very low maintenance person (I think) and I will not be hiring a makeup artist, or a hair stylist or anything like that. I will be doing my hair and makeup on my own.

Since I am adamant about saving money and building wealth *you can check out my millionaire series here* I have switched from high end makeup, to drugstore makeup. The products that I use work well for me, so I just don’t feel the need to spend all this money on high end brands. However, for my wedding, I will be investing in the best makeup around. I don’t care how much it costs. It honestly will probably be the same price or maybe a little bit more as hiring a hair and makeup artist, only I get to keep all the incredible products.

There are a few high-end makeup products that I’ve had my eye on, so I can’t wait to splurge on them! Here is what I’m purchasing. I am not sure what the actual look will be just yet, I have been watching lots of Bridal makeup videos, but haven’t been in love with those looks. We will see about that later.

Anyways, here are the products I’m using for my wedding.

I saw this primer in many youtube makeup tutorials and I love the way it leaves the skin with a radiant glow, but didn't leave the skin feeling oily. It will make my skin look youthful and vibrant.

I’ve mentioned this foundation so many times on my blog. It is at the very top of my list. Gal Gadot wears this foundation in Wonder Woman, this info coming directly from her incredibly talented makeup artist, Sarah Brock. This foundation comes highly recommended from so many people that there was no other foundation I even considered. I am wondering how long it is going to take me to figure out my shade. I’m not sure there are any department stores around me that have it. I’ll let you know how that goes.

This setting powder is wildly popular on social media. Women everywhere say its amazing and I’ve watched tons of YouTube videos of makeup artists who use it. I’ll be using this on my big day

Lilly Lashes

I tried eyelash extensions earlier this year and wasn’t really feeling it. So I’ll be trying Lilly Lashes for the first time! I’ve been pinning different lash styles on Pinterest for a while, but the ones I love the most are lilly lashes. They are so voluminous and pretty I just know they will be perfect for my wedding day. I am stuck between Mykonos and Goddess, and will probably try both before making a decision

I know it might seem a bit much, but I really want to wear a red lip on my wedding day. I think it's because I really don't like nude/natural lipstick shades. I love the way I look with a bold red lip.  I suppose brides wear a not so bright lip to prevent it transferring when they kiss the groom? I don't know. If I don't use the red, I will definitely be going with a soft pink color.

I have heard so many amazing things about the Fenty Beauty contour sticks, but I haven’t had the chance to try one, so I will be trying it out over the summer to see how I like it.

I’m going to make sure that I’m super glowy, so I plan on strobing my face 😊 I’m going to grab a cream highlight and then a powder highlight to go on top. It will look SO pretty. I know it will.

I couldn't be more excited for my wedding. I can't believe that I only have about 3 months left before I finally receive my stunning wedding dress! I want this to be a magical day that I never forget. I also want it to be low key and stress free as well. So exciting!

I'm not worried about doing my own wedding makeup. I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll have plenty of time to do trials on myself and to find a different lipstick if the red is too much. I'll keep you updated!

Did you do your own wedding makeup? Let me know your experience!
